Tired of the BS of the BCS again this season? The FANSonly Network took matters into its own hands again this year.

Who needs to play the Sugar Bowl? We already know who the REAL champion is. Florida State topped Nebraska in a thrilling final to the second-annual VCS playoff.

Our second annual Virtual Championship Series (VCS) was a 16-team playoff -- Yes, at long last, a playoff! -- that was played during the month of December to determine the "online" national champion for the 1999 College football season.

FANSonly "played" each match-up utilizing "3-in-1 Football," a text computer simulation game produced by Lance Haffner Games. Just click on the name of the winning team in our bracket to get a recap of the game.

Ohio State won last year's tournament by stunning Tennessee in the semifinals and nipping Florida State in the championship game.

What do you think of the VCS playoff system? As always, FANSonly wants you to put in your two cents. Send them to commissioner@fansonly.com and you may even see your comments on the site in coming days.
