Davis Wins Discus Throw at ECAC Championship

PRINCETON, N.J. - In the second day of competition at the 2007 ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Princeton's Weaver Stadium, Erica Davis won the discus throw with a mark of 52.27 meters, which was almost three meters farther than the next competitor and five meters past the NCAA regional mark. Her mark was also the farthest ever thrown by an Ivy League woman. The previous Heps all-time mark at the ECAC Championship was 51.26 meters by Maria Matos of Cornell in 2006.

Ashley Nolet tied for sixth in the pole vault, finishing at a height of 3.65 meters.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Kathryn Schleckser, Erin Walsh, Meredith Leenhouts and Kelli Buck qualified for finals with a time of 9:01.02.
