Women's Golf Tied for 3rd After First Day of Princeton Invitational

With a score of 322, the women's golf team wrapped up the first day of play at the Princeton Invitational tied for 3rd place with Brown University.

With a 4-over-par 76, January Romero led the Elis.

The Bulldogs trail second-place Univeristy of Richmond by just one stroke, but only five strokes separate them from 8th-place St. John's University in the tightly-packed leaderboard.

With a 38 on both the front and back nine, Romero finished tied for third overall with two other players. Lauren Ressler finished the day with a 78, while Cindy Shin and Carmen Zimmer each shot a 12-over 84 for the Bulldogs to round out the top four.

With rains passing over Princeton, the tournament was delayed for approximately an hour but the players were able to finish complete rounds.

Princeton's Avery Kiser was the only player to shoot par, finishing with a 72 to help put Princeton in first place after a day of action with 300 strokes.
