Providence, RI - Lucas Meyer captured the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 8:52.50 on the second day of Heps competition as Yale finished seventh with 46 1/3 points. The Bulldogs also got second-place finishes from Josh Yelsey in the 1,500m run and Russell Kempf in the 100m dash. Since the standings at Heps determine the All-Ivy team, Kempf and Yelsey were both namde Second Team All-Ivy and Meyer made the First Team.

In the 1,500-meter run, Princeton's Jonathan Kieliszak (3:47.36) narrowly beat Yelsey at 3:47.60. Kempf (10.82) was edged in the 100m dash by Cornell's Rahim Wooley (10.71), who went on to earn Athlete of the Meet honors. Kempf also added a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash (22.28). The Bulldogs got another fourth-place finish from Robert Lobue (1:51.06 in the 800-meter run). Shomari Taylor came through with a third-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles (53.98), with Michael Brown fifth (55.55).

Yale's 4x400-meter relay team (Kevin Alexander, Lobue, Taylor, and Rob deLaski) came in fifth (3:15.18), and Brian Hanak (9:19.88) posted a seventh-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase that Meyer won. Two Bulldogs finished the 5,000-meter run, with Casey Moriarty seventh (14:22.88) and Patrick Dantzer 13th (14:36.45). In the 10,000-meter run, David Napper came in 13th (31:11.21) and Andrew Johnson came in 19th (31:29.27).
