Yale Takes 10th at ECAC's

Results

After three days of competition, the Yale men's swiming and diving team finished in 10th place out of 20 teams at the ECAC Championships which were held at the University of Pittsburgh. Yale finished third out of the four Ivy teams that competed in the meet; Harvard was 3rd overall, Columbia 8th overall and Penn finished 13th overall.

The Bulldogs finished 11th after the first day of competition, but followed with two strong days of swimming to move up a spot and finish 10th in the final standings after Saturday and Sunday's events.

Yale was led by a number of top ten individual finishes on Sunday that kept the Bulldogs in the top ten overall. Jack Hutchinson finished 6th in the day's first event, the 1650 Freestyle. Chris Dufek took 5th in the next event, the 200 Backstroke. Colin Stalnecker was Yale's remaining top ten finisher, as he took 4th in the 200 Breaststroke.

Yale's next post-season meet is next weekend at the EISL Championships, to be held Friday through Sunday at Harvard.
