PROVIDENCE, RI - The Bulldogs placed 5th out of 8 teams at the New England Dinghy Championships, held this weekend at Brown University.

The top four finishers at this regatta qualify for the National Championships for speed sailing, and Yale was just two points too far away.

"It came down to the last leg of the last race," coach Zachary Leonard said. "We were two points behind where we needed to be."

The third, fourth, and fifth placing teams were all separated by two points, with Yale just at the bottom.

Zach Brown, Sarah Himmelfarb, Adriane Levin, Molly Carapiet, Hannah Oakland, and Emily Hill all competed for Yale.

Co-ed sailing will still send a contingency to the Team Racing National Championships. The women also will compete at their National Championship.
