Boothe and Granderson Earn Atlantic 10 Honors

CINCINNATI - Senior forward Tara Boothe and junior guard Suntana Granderson were both selected to the All-Atlantic 10 First Team in a vote by the league coaches as announced on Wednesday, March 1. Boothe earns First Team honors for the third consecutive year and Granderson is the eighth different Musketeer all-time to earn mention on the All-A-10 First Team. Boothe was also named to the conference's All-Academic team for the third straight year. Boothe, a liberal arts major with an education minor, led the league in scoring and is seventh in the country at 21.1 points per game. She became XU's all-time leading scorer on January 22nd when she scored her 2,037th career point and has since extended the record to 2,249 points. She also became XU's leading rebounder on February 26 and has now pulled down a record 975 career rebounds. Granderson is seventh in the conference at 15.4 points per game and is shooting 36.4 percent from three-land this season. She is also shooting 76.6 percent from the free throw line and is averaging 2.3 assists per game. The Musketeers, who earned a first round bye in the Atlantic 10 Tournament, will play either Saint Joe's or Fordham on Saturday. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
