Thursday's Game Notes
CINCINNATI - The Xavier University women's basketball team is set to take on Fordham on Thursday, February 22. Game time is set for 12 p.m. at Cintas Center and the contest will mark XU's third-annual Youth Day. Xavier comes into the game with a 21-7 overall record and a 9-3 mark in Atlantic 10 play. The Rams enter Thursday's contest at 3-21, 1-11.
The Series vs. the Fordham
The Musketeers are 13-2 all-time vs. Fordham and have won the last 11 meetings between the two sides. Xavier's last loss to the Rams came on January 25, 1997, a 60-55 setback at Schmidt Fieldhouse. XU is 6-1 all-time vs. the Rams in Cincinnati, including 3-0 at Cintas Center.
McGuff Gets 100
Fifth-year head coach Kevin McGuff's first four seasons at Xavier have been the most productive first four seasons any XU coach has enjoyed. McGuff is the first coach to lead Xavier to four consecutive postseason appearances in his/her first four years at XU and the 80 wins accumulated in his first four years are the most by any XU coach. McGuff's record at Xavier now stands at 101-49 (.673).
20 Win Notes
Xavier won its 20th game of the season on 2/15 at Richmond, marking the 10th time the Musketeers have reached the 20-win plateau. The win was also XU's third consecutive 20-win season, marked the second straight year Xavier has won 20 regular season games and marked the fourth time in five years that Kevin McGuff has recorded 20 wins. Xavier has won at least 20 games in seven of the last nine years. XU has a chance to tie the 1999-00 team for the second-most regular season wins in program history with 23.

Harris Shatters Blocks Record
Freshman standout Amber Harris established a new single-season blocked shots record at Xavier when she recorded her 40th block of the season vs. Eastern Illinois on December 15 at the 14:22 mark of the second half. Harris has since extended that record to 113 blocks and she is on pace to block 121 shots this season. Taru Tuukkanen blocked 39 shots during the 2000-01 season to set the previous mark. Harris is third in the country at 4.0 blocks per game. The NCAA record for blocked shots by a freshman is 119, set by Oklahoma's Courtney Paris last season.

Xavier's Newest Additions to the 1,000-Point Club
Senior guard Suntana Granderson notched her 1,000th career point vs. Saint Joe's on February 24, 2006 and currently sits in 10th place on the all-time list. She is 47 points shy of Stacey Land's ninth-place mark. Senior Miranda Green recorded her 1,000th career point vs. St. Bonaventure on January 28, 2007 and currently sits in 17th place on the all-time list. She is 45 points shy of Jenny Rauh's 16th-place mark. Senior Michele Miller is also within striking distance of the 1,000 point mark, 135 short of the plateau.
