CINCINNATI - For the fourth time this year, Xavier freshman Kari Peglar has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Swimming and Diving Rookie of the Week after her performance at XU's meet at Duquesne as announced by the conference office on Monday, Jan. 21.

Peglar captured gold in the 200-yard backstroke (2:08.14) and 500-yard freestyle (5:05.37) events on Jan. 19 as Xavier's women's team downed A-10 foe Duquesne, 144-118 The Chesterfield, Mo. native placed second in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:36.98) and swam a leg of the 400-yard medley relay (4:03.35) which finished runner-up in the event.

Up next for the Musketeers is a trip to Dayton, Ohio where they will face Wright State on Saturday, Jan. 26. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
