AKRON, Ohio - Both Xavier swim teams fared well in the second day of the SummaCare Invitational hosted by the University of Akron. Overall, fifteen records fell during the second day of competition with XU's Dave Janszen leading the way once again. The Musketeer men are currently in third overall but first without diving events considered, while the women are in seventh place.

Janszen again placed himself in the XU record books as he set another school, meet and pool record in the 400 IM. The senior snapped the seven year record held by Dan Casey after finishing the event with a time of 4:01.88. Janszen also led off the 800 free relay team with another record setting performance. His time of 1:41.62 on the opening leg beat the previous school record in the 200 free by nearly a second and helped the team of Janszen, Kyle Hawley, Matt Normile and Neil Reierson take the first place finish in a time of 6:54.13. Reierson also claimed second in the 100 fly with a time of 51.74, while Hawley was 0.06 seconds behind and grabbed third with a time of 51.80.
