The Wayne State University softball squad was ranked 26th nationally in last week's NFCA Division II poll.

In terms of team statistics released today by the GLIAC office, WSU was fourth in batting (.300), third in earned-run average (1.90) and tied-for-third in fielding percentage (.956).

Junior Lindsey Perry (Taylor, Mich./Kennedy) is seventh in batting (.381), tied-for-eighth in hits (32), tied-for-second in both doubles (10) and triples (3), fourth in total bases (54) and slugging percentage (.643), and 10th in RBI (17).

Junior Meredith Boxberger (Canton, Mich.) is tied-for-ninth in doubles (6) and is the toughest to strikeout in the GLIAC (two strikeouts in 83 at bats).

Junior Molly Yetman (Cambridge, Ont./Glenview Park. S.S.) was leading the GLIAC in ERA (0.43) and opponent batting average (.131), second in strikeouts (108), third in wins (9), ninth in innings pitched (65.1), tied-for-fifth in appearances (14), tied-for-first in saves (2), tied-for-sixth in games started (10), and tied-for-fifth in complete games (7).

Senior Sarah Ytsma (Chatham, Ont./McGregor S.S.) was 10th in the GLIAC in ERA (2.02), tied-for-fourth in saves (1), and ninth in opponent batting average (.232).

Junior Robyn Haig (Waterloo, Ont./Waterloo C.I.) leads the GLIAC in hit by pitches (5).

Senior Sarah Kish (St. Catharines, Ont./St. Francis S.S.) is tied-for-first in sac bunts (7).

Junior Sarah Berry (Acton, Ont.) is tied-for-first in sac flies (3).
