West Bloomfield, Mich. - The Wayne State men's tennis team (5-4) lost an 8-1 decision to visiting Aquinas (12-1) Saturday afternoon at The Sports Club at West Bloomfield. The loss snapped the Warriors' four-game winning streak.

The lone victory for WSU came at #3 singles when Alejandro Gomez (Comitan Chiapas, Mexico) defeated Jordan O'Neill, 6-2, 6-1.

The closest match was at #1 singles where Antoine Marenaud (Bordeaux, France) lost a 7-6, 6-4 decision to Mike Rose.

The match against the Saints marked the end of non-conference play. The Warriors begin GLIAC action at Northwood on March 21 at 2 p.m. Wayne State will host Ferris State and Grand Valley State on March 24-25 with both matches scheduled to start at 12 p.m.
