MICHIGAN TECH/NORTHERN MICHIGAN GAME STORYLINES

The Wayne State University men's basketball team has two home games this week after compiling a 2-2 mark on its four-game road trip.

The Warriors contest on Thursday against Michigan Tech will be televised live by Comcast Detroit with Cliff Russell, Jeff Lowe and Eric Pate calling the action. WSU will play NMU for the second time this year on Saturday.

WSU is tied-for-second in the GLIAC South Division with Ashland, one-half game ahead of Hillsdale and Mercyhurst.

ON THE BENCH

Wayne State's David Greer is in his sixth season at the helm of the Warrior basketball program with an 85-71 mark. His overall seven-year coaching mark stands at 102-83, which includes one season at Tiffin (1986-87).

Kevin Luke has compiled a 243-124 mark in his 13th season at MTU.

NMU's Dean Ellis has a 330-250 record in his 21st year in Marquette.

THROUGHOUT THE YEARS

Michigan Tech posted a 59-56 home win last year over the Warriors to even the series versus Coach Greer at 3-3.

WSU defeated Northern Michigan, 76-71 in double overtime, earlier this year in a non-conference game. Wayne State lost, 72-67, in Marquette last year.

SERIES NOTES

David Greer has a 3-3 all-time mark versus Michigan Tech.

The Warriors are 1-1 at home under Greer versus the Huskies.

MTU won 59-56 at home last year on Jan. 19, 2006.

Wayne State leads the all-time series vs. MTU 45-24.
