Findlay, Ohio - The Wayne State University men's basketball team (7-7 overall, 3-0 GLIAC) dropped a 68-52 decision at seventh-ranked Findlay (14-1 overall, 8-0 GLIAC) Saturday afternoon despite holding a one-point halftime advantage at 29-28.

The Warriors started strong scoring the first nine points of the game and holding the Oilers scoreless until Josh Bostic hit a three-pointer at the 16:13 mark. UF rattled off the next five points after Bostic's trey to make it a one-point contest at 9-8, but Pierce answered with a lay-up. Oiler Tyler Evans, who made six three-pointers in the contest (a high allowed by WSU this season), made a shot from beyond the arc at the 11:31 mark to knot the game at 11.

A lay-up by junior Wynn Sarden (Sterling Heights, Mich./Warren Cousino) tied the game at 13 and started an 8-0 run by the Warriors which included a jumper and a triple by Carr.

Wayne State maintained a six point lead three minutes later on a two foul shots by senior Kris Krzyminski (Flint, Mich./Central) and a lay-up by Krzyminski at the 5:33 mark. A Henderson lay-up at 3:02 regained the six-point advantage, but Findlay scored seven of the final nine points of the first half.

The hosts scored the first seven points of the second half for a 35-29 lead in the first 1:44. Carr split a pair of free throws, but UF answered by scoring seven of the next nine points for a 10-point lead at 42-32 with 15:04 remaining.
