LARAMIE, Wyo. -

The University of Wyoming Cowgirl volleyball program was given a High Honorable Mention award for their recruiting class by PrepVolleyball.com. The honor puts the class among the Top 50 recruiting classes in 2005.

The Cowgirls will welcome five incoming freshmen this fall to a team that returns seven letterwinners from a year ago. The players include Jessie Carlson (6-2, MB, Cheyenne, Wyo.); Samantha Eley (5-7, Libero, Lincoln, Neb.); Carissa Lee (5-5, Libero, Eugene, Ore.); Kelsey Loop (6-0, OH, Valley Center, Kan.) and Tasha Weishahn (5-9, S, Beatrice, Neb.).

"We're obviously excited about our 2005 Class," said head coach Pat Stangle. "PrepVolleyball's ranking confirms what we've felt all along, that it's a pretty good class."
