LARAMIE, Wyo. -

The University of Wyoming Athletic Department announced today a decision on the remaining schedule for its athletic teams during the upcoming weekend.

No Wyoming Athletic Teams will be participating in any event on Friday, in honor of the day of mourning, established by United States President George Bush.

The Cowgirl Volleyball Team, which was originally expected to play in Washington, D.C. this weekend, will instead play a single match on Saturday night against Denver University, at 7:00 p.m., in Denver, Colo. This match will replace the one originally scheduled on Tuesday, Oct. 9.

The men's golf team scheduled competition at the Falcon Invitational, in Colorado Springs, Colo., has been cancelled. The women's golf team will also not play at the Southern Cal Invitational, Sept. 17-18.

The Cowgirl Soccer match on Friday afternoon against San Francisco has been cancelled. They will resume competition on Sunday afternoon, at 1:00 p.m., against Creighton. The women's cross country team will be at the Peder Pytee Invitational, on Saturday, in Denver, Colo.
