West Texas A&M University volleyball team members Kendra Morgan, Kacie Hyatt and Ambra Clark were named to the Daktronics All-Southwest Region volleyball team, announced today (Dec. 10). All three were named to the second-team.

This is the third-straight year that Morgan, a 5-9 senior setter from Amarillo, Texas, has been selected to the Daktronics All-Region squad. This is the first time that Hyatt, a 5-5 senior libero, and Clark, a 5-11 freshman outside hitter, both from Amarillo, have received Daktronics accolades.

Morgan also earned honorable mention AVCA All-American honors, along with AVCA All-Southwest Region honors, NCAA-II All-Southwest Region Tournament Team honors, as well as LSC South Offensive Player of the Year, first-team All-LSC and LSC Tournament MVP. Already WTAMU's career assists leader, Morgan established a new LSC career assists mark this season, and also became the 12th person in NCAA-II history with 6,000 career assists. Morgan is a two-time AVCA All-American, and had six triple-doubles on the season.

Senior libero Kacie Hyatt was one of three Lady Buffs to receive Daktronics All-Southwest Region honors.

Morgan finishes her career with 6,087 assists, which is 10th on NCAA-II career list. Her career average of 12.58 apg is the third-highest in NCAA-II history. She also is fifth on WTAMU's career digs list with 1,413 digs. Morgan had a .350 hitting percentage, which led WTAMU and the LSC.

Hyatt was also named to the AVCA All-American honorable mention list, as well as AVCA All-Southwest Region Team, and was also chosen as the LSC South Defensive Player of the Year for the third-consecutive year, and is also a second-team All-LSC honoree. She also earned LSC All-Tournament Team honors. Hyatt established a new WTAMU single-season mark for digs with 643, as well as finishing her career third on the Lady Buffs' digs list with 1,538 digs. Hyatt also is in the Top 10 on the NCAA-II single season digs list.

Freshman outside hitter Ambra Clark was the only freshman on the Daktronics All-Southwest Region list.

Clark was also AVCA Region Freshman of the Year and honorable mention AVCA All-Southwest Region honors, along with LSC South Freshman of the Year, first-team All-LSC and LSC All-Tournament Team accolades. She posted a team-high 519 kills (3.96 kpg), finishing in the top five in the LSC in both kills and hitting percentage.

Sports information directors from within the region select the Daktronics all-region teams. First-team members move onto the national ballot and can earn All-American honors. This is the fourth year Daktronics has sponsored the Division II volleyball All-American and All-Region team.

Daktronics, with headquarters in Brookings, S.D., is an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition.

The Lady Buffs ended the season 29-8, losing to Rockhurst in the NCAA-II Southwest Regional Tournament, as WTAMU made its 10th-straight Regional appearance.
