MBB NOTES: WTAMU Opens LSC South Action With Three-Game Homestand

The West Texas A&M University men's basketball team hopes that the friendly confines of the WTAMU Event Center will help the Buffs get off on the right track as they open Lone Star Conference South Division play with a three-game homestand. WTAMU begins its "second season" by hosting 13th-ranked Texas A&M University-Commerce on Thursday, Jan. 20, before welcoming Midwestern State University to town on Saturday, Jan. 22. The Buffs wrap up the homestand by tangling with border-rival Eastern New Mexico University on Monday, Jan. 24. All three tilts are part of doubleheaders following the WTAMU women, who tip off at 6 p.m., followed by the mens' games at 8 p.m.

Saturday's game will benefit the American Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund.

Listen to Buff basketball action on the Buffalo Sports Network on KGNC 710 AM, with broadcasts starting 15 minutes before tip-off. Fans can also listen to the broadcasts via the internet at www.gobuffsgo.com, the official web site of WTAMU Athletics. There, fans can additionally access rosters, schedules, statistics and press releases of the Buffs and Lady Buffs throughout the year.
