WTAMU Falls in Extra Innings to Southwestern Oklahoma

CANYON, Texas - The West Texas A&M baseball team's three game winning streak came to halt on Saturday afternoon in the hands of Lone Star Conference crossover foe Southwestern Oklahoma. The Buffs fell in game one 7-3, and dropped game two in extra innings 13-12.

On the day, WTAMU was led by Justin Graham, who had five hits, four RBI and hit his first home run of the season. Also going yard for the Buffs was Cody Dean, who hit his in game two.

Getting the starts on the hill for the Buffs was Bart Cannon, who threw game one and Cole Peysen, who started the nightcap. Cannon went 5.2 innings, while striking out five and Peysen went 3.1 innings in the no decision.

WTAMU will be back in action on Tuesday against non-conference foe Wayland Baptist at Potter County Memorial Stadium. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
