ATLANTA, GA - In their first intercollegiate men's golf action of the 2007 season, the Winston-Salem State University Rams closed out play at the Hall of Fame Black College Golf Tournament in Atlanta, GA, with a 14th place finish after posting a combined team total of 317 from Brown's Mill Golf Club.
Thursday's first-day action saw the Rams post a team aggregate total of 331 as
Final round action on Friday afternoon saw the Rams turn in a team total of 317 as Jerell Fields led WSSU with a team-low round of 77.
Fields was joined by Steven Mason who recorded a round of 79 and Shelton Davis who fired a round of 78 as three WSSU golfers shot rounds in the 70's.
Zachary Yelder turned in a round of 83 on the afternoon as the Rams completed the day with an impressive team score of 317.
The two-day total of 648 earned the Rams a 14th place finish overall.
