The doubles team of Tony Teufel and Nick Camilleri winning the A doubles title highlighted Saturday's action for the Wright State men's tennis team at the Valparaiso Invitational.
Teufel and Camilleri claimed the title by defeating Nic Kooyers and Joe Venegas of Valparaiso in the semifinals 8-5 and Gabriel Garcia and Javier Saab of IUPUI in the finals by the same score.
Teufel wasn't as fortunate against Garcia in A singles, however, as he dropped a 6-2, 3-6, 10-7 decision in the finals. Freshman Bruce Fortson made it to the consolation semifinals of C singles before falling to Josh Kutch of IUPUI.
The Raiders close out the fall portion of their schedule October 19-24 at the ITA Regionals in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
