INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A soft and muddy course led greeted the Wright State cross country teams as they competed at the Horizon League Championships. The men's team finished eighth of eight teams and the women finished seventh of nine teams.
On the men's side, freshman Kyle Fetters paced the Raiders with a 47th place finish, 41st in the team scoring, with a time of 28:04 on the 8K course. Carlos Zamora finished 56th overall in a time of 28:37 and Alex Gutman covered the course in 28:38 and finished 58th.
Freshman Kevin Sheehan placed 65th overall, finishing in 29:00, while Mitch Meinerding finished in 81st and Kurt Throckmorton placed 82nd, both in a time of 31:26.
In the women's race, Marie McVetta led the Raiders for the seventh straight meet. McVetta covered the 5K course in a time of 20:11, finishing in 26th place overall. Stephanie Supan finished second for the Green and Gold in 37th place in a time of 21:03 and Christina Hill finished in 21:39 and 49th place.
Taryn Cochran completed the course in 22:02, finishing 57th, and Marie Pitsenbarger finished in 63rd place in a time of 22:23.
