Wright State Sweeps Past UWMApril 8, 2006
DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee started a three-match road swing through Ohio with a 7-0 loss to Wright State Friday afternoon. The Raiders (6-10, 2-2 Horizon) won all six singles matches and all three doubles contests in keeping the Panthers winless in league play. The most competitive singles match came at the #5 slot, where Elizabeth Angel split the first two sets with Christa Ames before falling, 6-1, in the third set. Meanwhile, in doubles play, the tandem of Samantha Drews and Lauren Fenley hung tough in the #3 slot before falling to Ames and Megan Laux, 9-7. UWM (4-10, 0-4) continues its busy weekend with matches at Youngstown State and Cleveland State Saturday and Sunday.
