Panther Men Break School Distance Medley Record
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (March 4, 2006) - Four members of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's track and field team broke the school's distance medley record at the Alex Wilson Invitational this weekend in South Bend, Ind. The Panthers attended the meet for a last chance qualifier for the NCAA Championships. Seniors Gabe Wagoner and Elliot Enright and juniors Justin Gorman and Jeremy Majors combined on a time of 9:58.58 in the event. That time eclipsed the standard of 10:02.10 set by Matt Hadler, Matt Finger, Corey Peterson and Keith Zeise in 1997. Wagoner also set a personal record in the 800m, finishing fourth in 1:50.69. Majors also posted a solid time in the 400m, finishing 13th with a time of 48.86.
