Academic Honors Continue For Men's Soccer TeamDec. 19, 2005 MILWAUKEE - Senior Neil Dombrowski, sophomore Steve Bode and junior Billy Meier of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer team all received individual academic honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) last week when the coaches' group announced its Scholar All-Region teams. Dombrowski and Bode each earned First Team All-North/Central Region honors, while Meier was a Second Team selection. Dombrowski and Bode joined fellow Horizon League player Joe Nierzwicki of Loyola on the First Team and made UWM one of only two schools (Bradley) to have two players on the top squad. The honors continue to pour in for the Panthers following a successful 2005 campaign where they advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the fifth-straight season. For Dombrowski, this adds to his academic awards that include a spot on the ESPN The Magazine Second Team Academic All-American squad and the Fall Academic All-Horizon League Team. Bode was an ESPN The Magazine Third Team Academic All-American choice, while both he and Meier were also named to the Academic All-Horizon League Team last week as well.
