MILWAUKEE - Junior Andrea Thibaudeau (Green Bay, Wis./East HS) has become the second Panther in successive weeks, and the fourth UW-Milwaukee trackster overall, to be named MCC Athlete of the Week.

Last Sunday at the Wisconsin Twilight in Madison, Thibaudeau set two personal bests en route to a pair of third-place finishes. One was in the 400-meter hurdles (64.43) and the other was in the long jump (18-8 ½).

Thibaudeau joins freshman Abby Hurst (Little Chute, Wis./Little Chute HS) and sophomore Liz Pesch (Brownsville, Wis./Fond du Lac St. Mary's Springs HS) as MCC Female Track and Field Athletes of the Week during the 2000 Outdoor season. Hurst was honored last week and Pesch on April 6.

The lone Panther male to be honored was senior Paul McGinley (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Lincoln HS) on April 11.

The Panthers head to Indianapolis tomorrow for the 2000 MCC Outdoor Championships. The men are looking to extend their conference-winning streak to an impressive seven consecutive Midwestern Collegiate Conference Track and Field Indoor and Outdoor titles. The women are looking to sweep the conference as well, as they attempt to avenge Detroit Mercy's victory last year.
