MILWAUKEE - The UW-Milwaukee Panthers are gearing up to continue their road-tripping this week, as they travel to Normal, Ill. to take part in the Redbird Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000. The meet, hosted by Illinois State, will begin at 10 a.m. CST.

One Panther to definitely keep an eye on is junior Nicole Wee (Soldiers Grove, Wis.). Last weekend at Butler, Wee took fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.11. Her time was three-hundredths shy of Shari Dieck's 1995 run of 26.08.

Another women's runner to watch for is sophomore Liz Pesch (Fond du Lac, Wis.). Pesch has surpassed her previous personal bests in the last two meets, and Saturday she will be looking for the hat trick.

For the men, senior Justin Wilson (Sun Prairie, Wis.) will be vying for a new personal best in the pole vault. Last week, he equaled his mark of 14-6, earning himself a third-place finish.

Aaron Nodolf (Monroe, Wis.) will be looking to take the experience he learned from Butler and use it to his advantage. Nodolf finished ninth in the talent-laden 5000-meter run last weekend. His section of the run was paced by four NCAA Provisional qualifiers.

The Panthers will return to the friendly confines of the Klotsche Center in two weeks, as they host the MCC Indoor Championships on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000.
