MILWAUKEE - The UWM men's and women's track and field team hosts the UWM Invitational on Friday, Jan. 19, at the Klotsche Center Arena. Events begin at 3 p.m.

Several universities will compete at UWM's home opener. The Panthers host Marquette, Detroit, Loyola, Illinois-Chicago, Chicago State, and DePaul.

At this past weekend's Badger Track Classic in Madison, seniors Nicole Wee and Aaron Nodolf led a group of Panthers to finish among the top of several events.

Wee took first in the 60-meter event with a time of 7.79, and placed third in the 200-meter seeded event, while Nodolf finished second in the mile at 4:19.80. In the unseeded mile, junior Pat Harrington ran well for the Panthers and finished third. For the Panther women, freshman Natalie Miko finished second in the 600-meter at 1:40.24.

In the men's field events, senior Jon Havel finished second in the long jump with a distance of 21-11. Freshman Nick Davis competed well in the high jump, finishing third at 6-6. For the women's field events, sophomore Stephanie Kenesie led the Panthers with a second place finish in the triple jump at 36-4 ¼.

On February 16, UWM will host its only other indoor meet. The Panthers will welcome Marquette and Butler to the Klotsche Center in the UWM Triangular at 5 p.m.
