GREEN BAY, Wis. - Green Bay Athletics announced today the signing of John Brough (Calgary, Alberta) and Mike Wesley (Franklin, Wis.) to National Letters of Intent for men's tennis. Both will play for the Phoenix in 2007-08.

"Both John and Mike are outstanding young men both on and off the tennis court," said men's tennis head coach Dan Oliver. "I am excited to add both for this fall and know they will contribute right away."

Brough (pronounced BRUFF) is coming off a solid summer, as he was the winner of the University of Alberta Junior Open at the U-18 level in May. He also took U-18 titles in the Capilano Open and the Calgary Winter Club Open. Brough finished the 2006 season ranked No. 18 in Canada.

Wesley was ranked as high as No. 5 in Wisconsin this year. He was a two-time all-area selection by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and aided Franklin to three straight conference titles. Wesley also garnered team MVP accolades as a senior.

Brough and Wesley join Brian Zaron as additions to Oliver's squad for this fall.
