Men's Tennis Drops 4-1 Decision to Wright State at Horizon League Championships



Freshman Matt Clegg had the lone win for the Phoenix against Wright State Saturday.

INDIANAPOLIS - The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay men's tennis team lost to Wright State 4-1 Saturday in the first round of the 2007 Horizon League Championship. The Phoenix will take on Youngstown State Saturday evening in the consolation bracket of the event.

Wright State took the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. The Raiders kept up the pressure and went on to post straight-set wins at No. 2, 3 and 5 singles to secure the win.

Matt Clegg tallied the lone point for the Phoenix with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles, while Tim Prudlow and Eric Hines did not finish due to Wright State reaching the four-point total.
