March 31, 2007

MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay men's tennis team was on the wrong end of a 7-0 match to Marquette Saturday.

Junior Tim Prudlow had the strongest showing in singles for the Phoenix, rallying from a one-set deficit to win the second set 7-5, but came up short in falling 10-8 in the third set. Prudlow was the lone Phoenix player to play three sets in singles action.

In doubles, Marquette started the day with the 1-0 lead by topping the Phoenix in all three doubles matches. Scott Dickert and Eric Plaushines dropped a tough 8-6 result at No. 2 doubles.

The Phoenix returns to action April 8 against Northern Illinois in DeKalb, Ill.
