MADISON, Wis. -
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to No. 50 Wisconsin Sunday evening.
The Phoenix had a 1-0 lead heading into singles action after the Badgers, who had played Penn State two hours previous, defaulted the point.
In singles, the Badgers posted two-set wins with the exception at No. 3, where Matt Clegg won after Wisconsin's Michael Muskievicz retired in the second set. At No. 2 singles, Mark Goldin rallied from a 6-1 first set to push Nolan Polley to the limit only to come up short, 7-6.
The Phoenix returns to action March 2 against Wright State in Elkhorn, Wis.
