Men's Tennis Drops 4-3 Decision to UW-Whitewater



Eric Hines won both in single and double action against UW-Whitewater

GREEN BAY, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay men's tennis team lost to UW-Whitewater Saturday 4-3 to fall to 3-2 in match play.

After UW-Green Bay swept the doubles point, UW-Whitewater had the upper hand in singles, winning at No. 1, 2, 4 and 6. The Phoenix had the first set lead in No. 2, 4 and 6 before Whitewater rallied for the three-set wins at each spot.

Matt Clegg and Eric Hines tallied wins for UW-Green Bay in singles play, as both posted two-set wins.

The Phoenix returns to action Sunday, Feb. 18 when it takes on instate foe Wisconsin at 5 p.m.
