Men's Soccer 2007 NCAA Statistical Review

GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Green Bay men's soccer team had a solid campaign numbers-wise, as the Phoenix appeared in various top 50 categories in the final statistics for the 2007 season. As a team, Green Bay ranked 11th overall in shutout percentage, thanks to 12 shutouts in 22 games for a 0.55 shutout percentage. The Phoenix also ranked 33rd in the country with a 0.80 team goals-against average. Green Bay's 11-5-6 record, which translated to a .636 winning percentage, was 46th in the NCAA this fall. Individually, goalkeeper Adam Stikl ranked 35th in the country with his 0.803 GAA and also placed 99th nationally with a .759 save percentage. Green Bay found its name mentioned often throughout the 2007 NCAA tournament. With a pair of 1-0 wins at Santaga Stadium against Ohio State and UIC, the Phoenix had wins against two teams that advanced to the Elite Eight round of the tournament. Ohio State advanced to the national championship game, with its loss in Green Bay Sept. 29 being its last defeat over a 15-game span. |
