GREEN BAY, Wis. - For the second time in three weeks, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay sophomore Danielle DeGrand has been named the Horizon League Women's Swimmer of the Week. It marks the third time in her career that she has earned the honor after also receiving it once during her freshman season.

The Green Bay native helped lead the Phoenix women to the team title at the St. Cloud State Invitational last Saturday. DeGrand earned three individual first-place finishes while swimming a leg on two winning relay squads.

She was victorious in the 100 backstroke (59.56), 400 individual medley (4:35.45) and the 200 IM (2:10.14) while also swimming on the winning 400 medley relay (4:01.25) and the 400 freestyle relay (3:37.98). DeGrand also contributed a second-place finish in the 200 backstroke (2:09.81) and was on the 200 free relay team that took third (1:40.49).

The UW-Green Bay women are 2-1 in duel meet action this season, including a 2-0 mark against Horizon League foes. The women, along with the Phoenix men, are back in action this Friday when they travel to Indianapolis for the IUPUI Duels.
