University of Wisconsin-Green Bay women's Nordic skiing head coach Butch Reimer has announced the signing of three individuals to National Letters of Intent. Regina Elmer (Lakeland, Minn./Stillwater), Lindsey Marshall (Shoreview, Minn./Roseville) and Laura Stalland (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) will join the Phoenix for the 2007-08 school year.
"We're excited to add Regina, Lindsey and Laura to our program," said Reimer. "All three are going to work hard for us. They want to be part of our university and like what it has to offer."
Elmer was named honorable mention all-conference and was the captain of the Stillwater Nordic Ski team. She helped lead the team to a fourth-place finish in the Minnesota state race in 2006.
Marshall was named an All-American as a junior in 2006, all-state in 2005 and 2006 and was a three-time all-conference selection. She also competed in the Nordic Skiing Junior Olympics in 2005 and 2006.
Stalland placed 55th in the Minnesota state race and 16th in her conference race. She also placed first in the Mesabi Invitational and was a named a team captain for her junior and senior years.
The Phoenix will begin the 2006-07 season Dec. 12 at the Northern Michigan Open in Marquette, Mich.
