Portlands Heather Denison and LMUs Kristen Gallup were named the WCC Co-Players of the Week for their performances over the weekend. Denison led the Pilots to their first tournament title since 1994, winning the Maine Invitational last week. Dension was named the tournaments MVP after hitting .349 and averaging 4.07 kills per game, including a 24 kill performance against Lehigh and a double-double (16k, 12 d) against Oakland in the championship game. Gallup averaged 6.33 points per game as she led the Lions to a 2-0 record. In six games, Gallup averaged 5.50 kills, 3.67 digs and posted a .431 hitting percentage.
