All-American Aly Wagner, Leslie Osborne, Kristi Candau and Tracy Hess added goals, while Megan Kakadelas registered assists on both Wagner's and Osborne's goals. lt;Pgt;13; Santa Clara didn't waste anytime, scoring three goals in the first half. Just six minutes into the contest, Osborne took a cross from Kakadelas and headed the ball past the Bluejay's keeper Jaimie Thompson. Wagner would make it a -0 Broncos' advantage, scoring in the 9th minute. Candau would put SCU up 3-0 at the 38:48 mark as she blasted a shot from yards out just past the reach of Thompson. Hess would make it four unanswered as she collected her own rebound and found the back of the net at the 66:09 mark. The Bluejays would score their lone goal in the 70th minute thanks to a goal by Regina Moench.
