Santa Clara all-american candidate Aly Wagner was named the WCC Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the third time this season. Wagner led the nation's top-ranked offense to two victories over ranked opponents, handing both No. 2 UCLA and No. 7 Saint Mary's the first loss of their respective seasons. Against UCLA, Wagner had a hand in all three goals, assisting on Danielle Slaton's game-winner in the seventh minute. She added her own goals in the 55th and 70th minutes. On Sunday, she took a free kick 20 yards out in the 89th minute, kicking against the wind, but with enough finesse to bend it in for the game-winner.
