Apr 7- West Coast Conference men’s and women’s tennis teams head into the last week and a half before the WCC Championship. This year, the men’s championship will be held on the Santa Clara University campus, while the women’s championship will take place in Moraga, CA at Saint Mary’s College on April 23-25.

The men’s team title has belonged to Pepperdine as the Waves have captured the championship 34 times, including the last 13. Among the current WCC schools, San Diego is the only other school to win the Championship, taking home the title in 1988 and 1989.

In the 18 years since the WCC began sponsoring women’s tennis, Pepperdine again has dominated the field, winning 15 of the 18 team titles. In 2002, Loyola Marymount captured their first-ever women’s tennis crown, joining Pepperdine as the only schools currently in the WCC to have won the title.
