San Francisco 6, UC Riverside 1
USF men's tennis swept the doubles point and lost just one singles match, cruising to a 6-1 victory against UC Riverside in non-conference action Tuesday at The Olympic Club. The Dons (7-9) lone loss to the Highlanders (1-10) came at number three singles.

Pablo Pires De Almeida appeared fully recovered from a hand injury with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at number one singles against Norman Tam, while Romain Van Rillas dispatched Brent Davis 7-5, 6-2 at number two. Mason Fuller needed three sets to down Jordan Leo 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-3, while Timo Kienle won at number five 7-5, 6-2 against Jeremy Owens. Rafael Corazzo beat John Cava 6-2, 6-0 at number six.

UC Santa Barbara 4, Santa Clara 3
The Santa Clara University men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 non-conference decision at UC Santa Barbara this afternoon at the RecCen Courts. It marked the fifth one-point loss for the Broncos this season, who see their record fall to 7-9 overall, while the Gauchos improve to 7-5.

Bronco senior Gernot Fischer fought off two match points in the third-set tiebreaker to earn a win for Santa Clara, besting Alex Anselme 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (6). Junior Taylor Bedilion also earned a come-from-behind win for the Broncos. Freshman Kevin McQuaid scored SCU's other point with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Nicholas Edlefsen.

UCSB swept doubles play and held on for the team victory with three singles wins. Matthew Coin bested Eric Kochanski 6-2, 6-4 on court six to clinch the team competition.
