Feb. 1 -- Loyola Marymount's 66th-ranked women's tennis team defeated the UC Riverside Highlanders 7-0 Friday afternoon at the LMU tennis complex in the Lions' season opener. The Lions opened strong, taking all three doubles matches, winning each match 8-2. LMU was equally powerful in the singles matches, as all the Lions won in straight sets. The Lions will host CS Fullerton on Wednesday, February 6 at 1:30 pm at LMU's tennis complex. Results: Singles: Andrea Lord def. Michelle Beyronneau 6-3, 6-0 Penka Fileva def.
