Nov. 5 -- The University of San Diego men's golf team finds itself in 11th place (20 teams) after the first round of the 54-hole tournament being held Nov. 4-6 at the Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California. USD shot a team total of 289; Kansas and UC Davis lead with team scores of 278.
Junior David Isaacson shot a first round 5-under par 67 (35-32) to lead all Toreros and currently places him in third place. He is followed by Mark Hepler (T12; 70), Berry Henson (T42; 73), Andrew Brisbois (T91; 79) and Brad Sader (T95; 80). Travis Hurst of Kansas shot a 64 (31-33) and is the first round leader at the 7,056 yard par-72 Desert Willow Golf Resort.
Today's second round was started, but was not completed due to the first round taking about five hours. The tourney is scheduled to be completed on Tuesday.
