The Waves finished the tournament at 40-over par 1,160 to post the program's third Top 10 finish at the NCAA Championships. lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; California fired a 1-under par 79 on Friday to card a 7-hole score of 14-over par 1,134 and capture the national championship. The Golden Bears finished six shots ahead UCLA, which completed play with a 0-over par total of 1,140. lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; Arizona (1,148) was third followed by Texas (1,149) and Georgia Tech, which rounded out the Top with a 31-over par total of 1,11. lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; UNLV's Ryan Moore claimed individual medalist honors with a 13-under par total of 67 to claim a six-shot victory over Wake Forest's Bill Haas and Arizona's Chris Nallen, who both carded 7-under par scores of 73. lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; Putnam placed fourth with a 4-under total of 76 to register the second-highest finish by a Pepperdine player at the NCAA Championships.
