USF women's golf shot a final round 297, posting a three-round total of 883 (291, 295, 297), good for a 29-stroke victory at the 2004 Anteater Invitational Tuesday at the Coto de Caza Golf and Country Club. Senior Kristi Larsen captured medalist honors for the second time this season firing a two-under 70 in the final round for an even-par score of 216 (72, 74, 70).

BYU finished a distant second at 912 (307, 300, 305), host UC Irvine placed third at 919 (307, 310, 302), Michigan was fourth at 920 (302, 310, 308) and Kansas rounded out the top-five with a 926 (322, 301, 303).

Sophomore Nikki Jacoby finished third with a 220 (71, 74, 75), while junior Mariko Shimozaki earned a share of fifth place at 222 (74, 73, 75). Senior Jordan Auten also posted a top-10 finish with a 225 (74, 74, 77), good for a share of eighth place.

Larsen also earned medalist honors at the 2003 Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic, hosted by Colorado State and also posted runner-up showings at the 2003 Oregon State Classic and the 2003 Edean Ihlanfeldt Tournament.
