OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Seven West Coast Conference men's basketball players were named National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District on Friday. Those honored were Gonzaga University's Ronny Turiaf and Adam Morrison, Pepperdine University's Glen McGowan, Saint Mary's College's Daniel Kickert, San Diego's Brandon Gay and Brice Vounang, and San Francisco's John Cox.

Gonzaga's Turiaf and Morrison were named to the NABC District 14 first team, joining Stanford University with two first-team selections. Turiaf and Stanford's Chris Hernandez are first-team repeaters from a year ago. Turiaf was also a second-team selection as a sophomore.

SMC's Kickert was joined on the second team by USF's Cox, Washington's Tre Simmons, Oregon State's David Lucas, and Pacific's Christian Maraker.

Pepperdine's McGowan earned first team NABC District 15 honors, while San Diego's frontcourt tandem of Gay and Vounang were tabbed to the second team.

Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across the country. The 150 student-athletes, from 15 districts, are now eligible for the NABC Division I All-American Team to be announced at the conclusion of the 2004-2005 NCAA men's basketball season.
