USF Cross Country adds another talented performer for 2005

(San Francisco) - Lukas Musil, a standout at Southern Methodist University will compete at the University of San Francisco beginning in the 2005 cross country season USF head coach Helen Lehman-Winters announced today. Musil (Prague, Czech Republic) compiled an exceptional resume on the track for the Mustangs.

A three-time All-WAC performer in the 800 meters, Musil was a finalist in that distance in the 2004 NCAA Championships. Musil posted a third place finish in 800 at the 2004 WAC Indoor Championships and owns a personal best of 1:48.31.

A capable all-around athlete, Musil owns a personal best of 25:39 in the 8K. Lehman-Winters is excited about welcoming such an accomplished international and elite collegiate athlete to the Hilltop.

"We are very pleased to add Lukas to our program. He brings national level track experience to our men's program and is excited about the prospect of contributing to our men's team in the fall," Lehman- Winters said.
