West Florida Defeats Division II Field at Pre-Regional

Dade City, Fla. - The West Florida women•s cross country team made a statement tonight at the flrunners.com Invitational (Pre-Regional) by finishing second overall to Division I Florida State and first out of theDivision II schools. The 5k race consisted of 16 schools and 165 runners.

The Argos finished with a team time of 1:41:20.90, while the Seminoles captured the title with a time of 1:40:01.99. Dawn Kane finished the race with UWF•s best time. She broke the tape at 19:54.51, which was good enough for 12th. Margaret Harter finished 21st with a time of 20:09.59 and Nicole Stanley was the Argos third top runner with a 20:13.38. She was 24th overall.
