Top seed Western Carolina will face the fifth-seeded Georgia Southern Lady Eagles in the first of two semifinal match-ups on Friday in the 2007 Southern Conference Men's Basketball Championships at the North Charleston Coliseum. Tip-off is scheduled for Noon.

All four games from Friday's semifinals on both the men's and women's side will be televised. The women's games will be aired on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS). Additional stations carrying the broadcast include: WGSR-TV 39 in Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point, N.C.; WMYW-TV 47 in Wilmington, N.C.; WDRL-TV 24, Roanoke-Lynchburg, Va.; and WYAT-TV 40 in Martinsville, Va.
Western (22-8) split with Georgia Southern during the regular season, with the Lady Eagles snapping the Lady Catamounts' 10-game winning streak back in mid-February. WCU enters today's game having won four-straight, including Wednesday's first round, 79-56, win over the No. 9 Furman Lady Paladins.
Georgia Southern (13-17) has won four of its last five games, upsetting th fourth-seeded UNC Greensboro Spartans on Thursday morning to advance in tournament play.
WCU is 1-1 all-time versus Georgia Southern in the SoCon tournament, with its win coming in the thrilling double-overtime championship game back in 2005.
