After setting three school records through 36 holes of play on Monday at the Sonic/Chattanooga Intercollegiate, two more Catamount records fell on Tuesday as the event concluded at the Signal Mountain Country Club. Western carded a three-day total of 871, which betters the previous school record by one stroke, to place 11th in the 15-team field. Also, sophomore Blake Wray set a WCU individual record for a three-round event, firing a 210 to place sixth (tied).

He had also tied a school record with a 67 in the first round, only to have teammate Tripp Morrow (Forest City, N.C./East Rutherford HS) shatter the mark with a 64 in the second round. Morrow, playing in his second collegiate event, turned in a one-over par 214 to place 20th (tied). Morrow's 214 is the third-best three-round score in WCU history.
After the three days, Wray now owns the second-best, single-round score with a 67; the third-best, single-round score with a 68; the best two-round score with a 135 and the best three-round score with a 210 in Western Carolina history.
